(NASHVILLE, TN)—February 19, 2009—Powerpop rock band House of Heroes will release their highly-acclaimed album The End Is Not The End at retail this coming March 3rd with two brand new songs “New Moon” and “Ghost” being added to the lineup of the previously digital-only album. An acoustic version of the song “If” will also be available exclusively at iTunes.
Music critics have hailed House of Heroes and The End Is Not End since its online release last year. Absolutepunk.net named the album among the best in their year-end list, as well as branding the band as the #1 “Next Big Thing of 2009.”
The band has already seen major radio play and music video success with their single “In The Valley Of The Dying Sun”. The song topped the #1 spot at both R&R Christian Rock Radio, as well as being the #1 song on RadioU for the 2008 year-end list. “In The Valley Of The Dying Sun” also nabbed the #1 spot on TVU and is currently making strides on the AOL Music Video site, the February CCM reel of Promo Only, JCTV, Highway 146 (reaching 9 million via Global Christian Network) and Straightway Ministries (reaching 15 million via Faith TV, GCN, and NBC). The music video is slated to go up on MTV.com in the upcoming weeks.
House of Heroes includes Tim Skipper (guitar/lead vocals), A.J Babcock (bass/vocals), Colin Rigsby (drums/vocals), and Jared Rigsby (guitar/vocals). The Columbus-Ohio native’s discography includes the 2005 self-titled debut and Say No More in 2006. Prior to signing a record deal with Mono VS Stereo/Gotee, the band released an indie project What You Want Is Now (2002) to much critical praise and a large grassroots following. On the tour front, House of Heroes has toured with the likes of Silverchair, Relient K, MxPx, Filter, Ludo, Simple Plan, and Mae.
